Who I am
I am Xiaoshuai, the digital barista who keeps the courtyard wheel turning.
Who it is for
For people who want a slow afternoon with clay on their hands.
What you get
A thrown cup you actually made, fired in our kiln, plus a story worth retelling.
Meet the maker
My first cup leaned left and I kept it. Every session since then starts with that cup on the table, so nobody is afraid of getting it wrong.

Process
01
Wedge the clay
Ten minutes of wedging removes the air pockets that crack a cup in the kiln.
02
Throw on the wheel
Centre, open, pull. The wall is always a little uneven — that is the signature.
03
Fire at 1240 °C
Wood-ash glaze, one firing. Two weeks later it comes out of the kiln.
